Anyway on a positive note, I did watch the entire gameplay (I told you about my experience with the demo on Facebook, name is Adelle
I could go on, and on about this game but.....Ah, I'll just leave a link here of my review from my website
Dante of DmC did change a bit to show his big heart. One thing I found funny was the joke Capcom/Ninja Theory pulled with the white wig in the first mission. They regarded that as silly but then they put Vergil in a hat... lol I, too, thought that Vergil was weak and useless to the story and to his character... until you fought him at the very end. I did die once- he hardly left any openings for me to see as the battle went on. But that was it. I was a disappointed, but then again, i haven't played the DLC. Phineas played the part of informant- a small part if you ask me. Yeah... playable-wise, Kat wasn't much but to the story she was the most useful character.
Buuut... yeah. I didn't find very many memorable one-liners either. Other than "fuck you" or the competitiveness of Dante and Vergil...

The whole white wig thing was basically a slap in the face to us (yes, I know this because Tameem from Ninja Theory is a very rude guy and has insulted us in the past saying the old Dante is not cool anymore, and other offensive stuff), even the DLC skin of the DMC3 Dante costume was a birdy flipping at us. They made Dante pudgey on the waist, his legs are screwed up, and his hair is Nero's. Yeah, I still say that's a slap in the face and Ninja Theory and CapCom's way of telling us, "f*** you, here's your beloved Dante back, happy now?".
And the story doesn't tie with the series because Eva was not an angel, Dante was ALWAYS born with white hair (see concept art from DMC1, and in Marvel vs CapCom 3 Dante says for when he wins that his hair has ALWAYS been white), and Vergil is not a sadistic killer like VINO. Vergil has always been the type who wants nothing but to get stronger (I can't see him being a wuss, ever. Except for when he was a kid maybe), and he'll only kill anyone who gets in his way, or just for more power, not in a sadistic way.
Now sorry that I'm making these long comments, I just want to clarify of what's going on. I'm a huge fan of the old series, and even though this game is not horrible, it's been a complete mess with sales, DLCs, insults, glitches, etc. And I'm sick of Ninja Theory and CapCom doing nothing but bull crap. They're saying now that Resident Evil is gonna be rebooted next, and this saddens me. Devil May Cry didn't deserve to have a reboot because there were still some plot holes.
Now if they were to make a DmC 2, I'm hoping it would be a LOT better than the 1st one, and Ninja Theory won't have to work on this one. But I'm hoping more for a Devil May Cry 5 to be made. Thing is though if they were to make a Devil May Cry 5, it would probably be rushed like DMC4 since CapCom has reduced their development times to 2.5 years now
