Description

A new character for a short little love story I came up with. I named her Stella because originally she didn't have a name. She was considered the bastard daughter of the High King or High Queen because she didn't have the family's trait of black hair and blue eyes. No one knows who slipped up in bed and the husband and wife blamed each other. So to stop the quarreling and to keep the possible infidelity a secret from the kingdom, they lock away their daughter until they stumble across a legend of an albino woman who would cause catastrophe if born into the world. If she was sacrificed to the gods then misfortune would pass. The King and Queen have no love for their daughter so they had no hesitation in attempting in sacrificing Stella to their gods to stave off foretold bloodshed. But the princess ran away during a sudden earthquake, escaping into the Lost Woods thick with trees and creepers and Wildlings. Stella eludes the pursuing soldiers successfully but she got hurt doing so. Thats when the Wildling Leon finds her when he was hunting. He's captivated by her beauty so he hides her away from her pursuers in his forest village. Leon learns that she never had a name so he names her Stella because he found her under the stars.
So yeah, they fall in love but Stella ends being captured anyway for Leon's sake and she's sacrificed. But Leon raises an army in his sorrow and anguish for Stella's demise and fights against the Golden Kingdom. He is successful and he becomes the new High King under the white banner. Peace pervades the realm again after much burning and bloodshed.

This is part of a book cover for my Illustration 2 class. Leon is in the works in Corel Painter 11.
